Conference Session Focus Areas

We are currently seeking speaker proposals aligned with the following focus areas:

  • Legal & Legislative – compliance updates, employment law insights, and regulatory developments
  • State & Government – topics relevant to public sector HR and government organizations
  • CHRO / Executive Leadership – strategic conversations for senior HR leaders shaping organizational direction

Austin SHRM is looking for educators and learning facilitators who are passionate about advancing leadership in HR and helping organizations navigate today’s evolving workplace.

Our conference theme, Think Like a Human: Perspective • Powers • Progress, invites speakers to explore how thoughtful leadership, empathy, and strategic thinking can drive meaningful progress within organizations.

We welcome proposals that offer practical insights, fresh perspectives, and actionable takeaways for HR professionals at all levels of leadership. Strong sessions challenge assumptions, encourage thoughtful dialogue, and help attendees think differently about how they lead and support people.

All sessions should deliver clear learning value and align with the professional development needs of HR practitioners working across industries and organizational environments.
