In 2022, the Executive Committee voted to recognize and accept a generous contribution in honor of Mary E. Evins to endow an annual professional development Scholarship Award to be administered by Austin SHRM. The purpose of the Scholarship Award is to encourage and support individuals desiring to further develop their career in the field of Human Resources and those who wish to start or transition into the Human Resource Management Career path. We hope this Annual Scholarship will create an opportunity for many years to come as a tribute to Mrs. Evins belief that one should continue to educate themselves and work hard to further their personal and professional goals. 

The Austin SHRM Board of Directors have elected to award two $1,000 scholarships to individuals who have demonstrated an interest in continuing their professional education and development along with those selecting a career in the field of human resources with the goal of developing future leaders in the human resource profession.
