Angela Shaw, 2019 President
Angela L. Shaw is an accomplished HR professional with experience in multiple industries including retail, government, healthcare and most recently Education. Angela has grown her career from an administrative employee performing the different functions of human resources to leading the function in several organizations. She also teaches an Essentials of HR Class at Austin Community College where she gets to interact with future HR leaders.
She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a minor in Human Resources and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Management and Leadership. She is dual certified as a Professional in Human Resources and a SHRM Certified Professional.Angela is a 2014 graduate of the AHRMA Stepping Stones program and believes in leadership that is responsible and accountable. Angela has a love of HR as a whole but is specifically devoted to diversity, inclusion, and workforce readiness.

Arlaine Decrevel, Past President
Arlaine Decrevel, MBA, SHRM-CP, PHR, CAM is the Executive Director Client Services for Evins Personnel Consultants, Inc., a full service human resource consulting, recruiting, and staffing company headquartered in Austin, Texas and a Marketing/Social Media Consultant for the Travis County Dispute Resolution Center. She is a Certified Human Resources Management Professional and TMCA Credentialed Advanced Mediator. She also holds several certifications from the University of Texas at Austin in Transformational Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, Communication, and Success Skills for Small Business.
For over 20 years, Arlaine has led, coached, and mentored others
during her career with Fortune 500 companies, small to medium sized
businesses, and not-for-profit associations. She is the founder and
former owner of A.D. Collaborative Solutions, Inc, a strategic
management, human resources, marketing, and mediation consulting
business. She holds three degrees in Business Administration and
Certificate of Human Resource Management from the University of Texas at
Lisa Blanton, 2019 President-Elect
Lisa Blanton has a diverse background that includes over 30 years in corporate positions of COO, CFO, and CHRO; including 13 years as a business owner. She is passionate about helping leaders drive for high achieving results through strategy, integration, and people relationships. Lisa is focused on the financial, people service, and enterprising aspects of business. Her career is filled with success stories of assisting leadership teams with building the business functions of operations, finance, accounting, and human resources while they concentrate on the development of the product or service.
Since moving to Austin and joining AHRMA in 2014, Lisa has served on the Board as VP-Finance (2015-2016), Co-VP of Conference (2018), and currently President-Elect (2019).

Cindy Strong, VP of Membership
Driven by a love for people and a desire to see them succeed, Cindy Strong is the Founder and Principal of Strong People Solutions. Cindy firmly believes in the power of connection and facilitating environments where people can thrive. An enthusiastic learner, eternal optimist, and self-described “people geek”, Cindy was a business owner before launching her career in Human Resources in 2006. After years of working as a corporate HR professional where she gained a strong understanding of effective HR management, she launched Strong People Solutions to make a bigger impact, working to align systems and culture to help organizations achieve their dreams.
Cindy holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from LeTourneau University, has her Senior Professional in Human Resources certification (SPHR), is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), is a certified John Maxwell trainer, and serves on the board of AHRMA, Austin’s local SHRM chapter. In her free time, Cindy practices yoga and is a certified yoga instructor. She also enjoys gathering with friends and family, spending time outdoors, and traveling at any opportunity.
LaTonya Ricks, Treasurer
LaTonya Ricks began her Human Resources career with Intel Corporation 13 years ago after attaining her Master’s in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Tennessee State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Illinois State University.
LaTonya is a Senior Human Resources Business Partner supporting Intel Labs and the Austin Site. Additionally, she serves as the Employee Resource Group liaison for Austin. LaTonya is experienced in manager leadership development and coaching; employee relations; organizational effectiveness; and HR workforce strategy.
LaTonya currently holds her SHRM-CP and PHR certifications. Additionally, she serves on the Austin Chamber of Commerce Talent council and is a graduate of the AHRMA 2018 Stepping Stones Leadership Development program.
In her spare time, LaTonya enjoys seeking new adventures and experiences, as well as, expanding the breath of the HR profession through learning opportunities.

Wilson Stoker, VP of Legal and Legislative
is an employment law counselor; helping businesses navigate the
employment relationship by providing common-sense, practical solutions
to employment law issues. He counsels HR professionals and business
leaders on hiring, promotion, discipline and termination decisions.
Wilson negotiates executive employment agreements; and drafts and
reviews employee policies for compliance with federal, state and local

Tami Andres, VP of Conference
Tami is a Human Resources Professional well versed in management, leadership, employee relations, human resources and organizational development with over 25 years’ experience in a variety of industries. She currently serves as the Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development for Easterseals Central Texas, and led them to being named one of the Austin American Statesman’s Top Workplaces for mid-sized employers in 2015. Tami holds certifications as a Strength Deployment Inventory facilitator and is passionate about implementing communication and collaboration strategies that drive managing conflict and improving relationships resulting in organizational success.
Tami currently serves as VP for the 2019 AHRMA Conference, Membership Chair for the League for Non-Profit Human Capital, and is a member of the Strategic Human Resources Forum. She is passionate about helping others with personal and professional growth and development as well as giving back to the community.

Sharon Allen, Co-VP of Programs
Sharon Allen is the Director of Human Resources Strategy with Trellis Company.She is a senior human resources leader with over 28 years of experience in multiple HR disciplines with both domestic and global organizations. Sharon spent 26 years in the Houston area working primarily for companies in the oil and gas industry, then relocated to the Austin area in 2016 to join Trellis Company. Her primary areas of expertise include transformational human resources strategy, talent management and development, total rewards, HR technologies, mergers and acquisitions, and global human resources.Sharon is motivated by the opportunity to strengthen organizations and help others develop and achieve their highest potential.
Sharon graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in General Business Administration. She participates in SHRM, AHRMA, ATD, and ATD Austin and holds both SPHR and SHRM-SCP HR certifications. In addition to serving as the AHRMA Co-VP Programs, Sharon also volunteers on the Austin Community College Continuing Education Advisory Board for Contact Centers and as an AHRMA mentor.

Christopher Demers, Co-VP of Programs
career began with P&G and he has worked successively with Dell,
Apple, Home Depot's Technology Center and VMware since then always in
line-based Human Resources roles thriving on the demands of these
Fortune most-admired companies. Work has taken Christopher all around
the world but Austin has been his home for over 20 years.
Christopher's focus is employee relations, leadership coaching and
talent management delivered with an insane focus on customer service for
human resources. He loves what he does.
Christopher consults in, works on, blogs about and speaks to all things Human Resources.
Jennifer Charles, VP of Diversity & Inclusion
Jennifer Charles is a skilled HR professional with experience in industries that include non-profit, government, education, private and public sector. Jennifer currently serves as Human Resource Generalist for the Texas Association of School Boards were she focuses on Recruiting, Diversity and Inclusion, and Employee Relations.
Jennifer has her Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a minor in Human Resources from Concordia University were she graduated with honors. Jennifer has a love for HR and talent acquisitions, diversity, and inclusion.
Jennifer is active volunteer in multiple community programs and non-profits in the Central Texas area. She has a passion for mentoring the future leaders of tomorrow and giving guidance to disadvantage youth by actively mentoring and tutoring youth.

Mary Evans, VP of Communication
Mary Evans, PHR, SHRM-CP, is the Vice President of Human Resources with 360training.com and is responsible for leading and implementing the talent management and talent acquisition programs globally for 360training. Mary has approximately 20 years’ experience in the Human Resources field, managing teams in health care, real estate and manufacturing industries.
Mary participates in SHRM, AHRMA, ATD and holds SHRM-CP and PHR certifications. She has spoken at HR workshops on topics related to culture, as well as diversity and inclusion. Mary is passionate about mentoring HR professionals and students, creating a great culture environment and giving back to the local communities.
Laurie Holsman, VP of Career Development
Laurie Holsman is a Talent Management Advisor with 18+ years experience in talent acquisition and organizational management. As the CEO and Founder of Holsman Consulting Group, she assists businesses with building strategic talent management programs, training and development initiatives, and how to find, hire and keep the right employees. Her passion is helping to close the gap between employees and employers to create win/win talent scenarios.
Laurie has also worked as a career and interview coach for more than 20 years, helping more than 1,000 individuals learn the best way to showcase their unique value. As a public speaker and presenter, Laurie shares her talent management insights at conferences, workshops, and with various corporations. She is also a regular volunteer with numerous job seeker networks, non-profits, and startups.
Before starting her own business, Laurie was a top performer at Accenture, Pfizer, Nordstrom, and vcfo. When not consulting or speaking, Laurie is spending time with her husband and their 11 year old daughter; who are her motivation to see everyone be their best self and live life to the fullest. Wendy Chance, VP of Workforce Readiness
Wendy Chance, CTS, is Director of Human Resources for United PF Partners, LLC. United PF Partners is the largest Planet Fitness Franchise group in the US, with 88 locations throughout 11 states. Wendy is a proven results-oriented business and HR professional with demonstrated experience to drive business objectives. Recognized for understanding and integrating business needs with progressive Human Resource strategies over a broad spectrum of industries. Wendy’s responsibilities include business and HR strategy, development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, organizational development, employee relations and performance management, benefits, compensation, and payroll oversight.
Wendy has served in various Volunteer roles within AHRMA including President of the Association in 2011. Wendy is a graduate of AHRMA’s “Stepping Stones to Enhance Leadership” program. Other AHRMA Volunteer roles include VP of Technology, Marketing and Membership. At the State HR level, Wendy serves as the Texas SHRM Assistant State Director of Marketing, and was recognized as the Texas HR Volunteer of the Year.

Justin Sharp, VP of Emerging Professionals
Justin Sharp currently serves as Sr. Compensation Analyst with SailPoint Technologies where he provides global compensation guidance and equity plan design and administration. Prior to joining SailPoint Technologies, Justin worked with AMD where he provided global compensation guidance for over 25 countries and assisted in equity administration.
Justin also worked for Intelligent Compensation, LLC as the Director of Compensation and Business Consultant. In this capacity he provided compensation analysis and business consulting work for an array of clients throughout the United States and Mexico. Justin’s background in business management and direct human resource, training and loss prevention contributes to his overall effectiveness in helping organizations increase profits, and operational efficiencies and effectiveness while looking for ways to limit adverse operating exposure and expense.
Active in the community, Justin has served on the AHRMA Board of Directors since 2012 where his roles included VP Membership (2013-2014), President-Elect (2015), President (2016) Past President (2017) and currently serves as the VP Emerging Professionals (2018-2019). Previously, he worked with the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure where he assisted the Austin affiliation with event affairs and helped organize and operate the annual event. He received a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Texas State University.

Jerry Pinataro, VP of Technology
Jerry is a Human Resources Executive with 15 years of leadership experience with 6 of those dedicated to human resource functions. His passion is providing HR solutions for clients by helping them build their HR infrastructure through technology, compliance and people. Currently he is Director of Human Resources at LaRue Tactical in Leander, Texas. Prior to his current role, Jerry has held several corporate HR leadership positions in retail in addition to four years as an officer in the U.S. Army.
Jerry holds a Certificate of Human Resource Management from University of Texas at Austin and Bachelor of Arts degree from Marywood University. Jerry is an active member of HR organizations including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) both on the national and local level.
Jerry enjoys spending time with his family on their ranch in Lampasas, Texas. He is married with two children, Madeline and Maxwell. Jerry also enjoys mentoring up-and-coming HR professionals where he shares his knowledge and passion for the human resources profession.
