WHO IS AHRMA?
The Austin Human Resource Management Association (AHRMA) is a not for profit association of almost 800 human resource professionals in the greater Austin area representing more than 500 businesses. Formed in 1950, AHRMA is a top chapter of the national Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and has been awarded Superior Merit Awards for the past several years. AHRMA is the premier association driving the Human Resource profession to a level that is critical to organizational success. We develop professionals and provide opportunities to contribute to each other, our organization and our communities
MISSION STATEMENT AND OBJECTIVES
The Austin Human Resource Management Association's mission is to promote professionalism, effectiveness, and understanding in the Human Resource Management field by offering members a wide variety of professional development opportunities and a common forum for sharing ideas and experiences. AHRMA serves members by: Providing a wide range of educational programming and activities that allow members to develop their expertise in the functional areas of Human Resource Management; Fostering increased awareness and understanding of the Human Resource profession throughout the business community and the general public; Encouraging the highest standards of integrity through our Code of Ethics; and Providing a regular forum for members to meet and exchange information in addressing current human resource issues.
WHO BELONGS TO AHRMA?
AHRMA members represent the entire spectrum of HR management. At the end of the year 2004, AHRMA included almost 800 Austin area HR Professionals! More than 60% of the members are manager level, director level or above. Almost 72% are HR Generalists with decision - making authority covering the entire scope of human resources. Industries significantly covered include manufacturing, sales/service, high tech, healthcare and city/state/federal government. 52% of our members work in companies with 500 or fewer employees while 31% work in companies with 500 to 5000 employees and 17% work in companies with more than 5000 employees. Our members are well educated and 13% are certified as Senior Professionals in Human Resources (SPHR) while 27% have earned certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). These influential HR professionals count on AHRMA publications for authoritative news and updates. Many of our members attend our annual conference in August while enjoying the benefits of networking and developing relationships with each other. AHRMA holds a meeting each month featuring a luncheon speaker followed by an afternoon workshop with an added professional development session in the morning on a topic critical to our day-to-day success. It is not unusual for our speakers to be of international fame. Over 80% of members say that they joined AHRMA to attend our monthly meetings. PROFESSIONAL CLASSIFIED AD $50 per month
This is a low-cost sponsor opportunties for the community. With our Professional Classified listings, you can add your company name a description of goods and services offered, then link to your logo or online media kit. It's a great option because you can do the layout directly on the website and preview right away. We ask that each submission fit within the viewable space of a monitor on high resolution. You select how long you would like the ad to run and make payment online. The cost is $50 per month. Then, an AHRMA volunteer will review (to ensure only professional classified listings are submitted) and approve the posting.
It is our hope that this section grows into a virtual vendor database to serve the community when looking for goods and services for their organization. The Professional Classifieds are listed under the Sponsor Menu Navigation and Member Resource Navigation. Plus, we include a direct link to the Professional Classified listings page on the AHRMA blog, social networking sites, and in all of our eblast correspondence templates.

EBLAST
Send your advertising / marketing message by email to all registered members of AHRMA (800+). More effective and more reliable than traditional mail! Rate: $450 (Non-profit $425) Book your message on a day reserved specifically for your company (a minimum of 2-weeks prior to requested distribution date). Scheduling is limited to a pre-determined number of companies advertising each month. Text only message (two web links allowed) sent to all AHRMA members--$450 (Non-profit $425). Graphics and attachments cannot be accommodated. Rates are based upon pre-payment and payment must accompany message when submitted. AHRMA reserves the right to refuse advertising. Submit your text message to AHRMA at ahrma@austinhumanresource.org , or fax to the AHRMA Office, accompanied by the eBlast contract (Click right to dowload).
EVENT OF INTEREST
Post your "Event of Interest" to AHRMA members on the AHRMA website Calendar of Events Page! Rate: No cost when there is no fee for entry to your event; otherwise AHRMA charges you a posting fee equal to one registration fee for your event. Copy limited to 4 lines (web link may be included), due at least 2 weeks prior to event, and paid in advance. AHRMA does reserve the right to determine which events are of interest to our membership. These postings are intended to spotlight one time events rather than regular occurring seminars, meetings, etc. (For those, contact Newsletter Committee 'Calendar of Events' at admin@austinhumanresource.org - 6 weeks advance notice). INTERNET ADVERTISING
The AHRMA Web site is the latest tool used by AHRMA to connect its 800+ members with the services they need access to. By advertising on our site your Company will reach your target audience. The AHRMA Web site receives in excess of 3,000 hits per month. Take a step into the future of advertising by using the AHRMA Web site to publicize your Company! Notice that AHRMA has built into each Conference Partner and Sponsor level a Web site ad benefit.
All banner ads should be 460 pixels wide by 60 pixels high or must be easily scaled to this size. Files must be saved in .gif format and can include animation; file size should not exceed 45K. All banner ads will be placed in a timed rotation, ads will rotate at 30-second intervals to facilitate the best exposure for all ads featured on the site. Technical Only/Bottom Line: .gif file, can be animated, 460 pixels wide by 60 pixels high, file size should not exceed 45K. Listing Feature Your Company Name and contact information listed in the AHRMA Sponsor Section with a brief company description, linked to a 2nd full screen ad, except when a "Listing Only" is requested. Descriptions should be 65 words or less, including your company's contact information, describing your company's service or product submitted in a word document format. Companies are listed by topic of HR interest. Such as, ABC Staffing Company would be listed under the "Staffing"header. Ad Feature A full-screen color ad linked from your Company Listing to further advertise your services. This page is a full screen ad that may include pictures, maps, and animation, and is included in all advertising contracts except when a "Listing Only" is requested.
